Hotel Drover - Fort Worth, Texas
Hotel Drover is inspired by the pioneering spirit of the west, delivering true Texas character and hospitality. The project is named to honor cowboys, known as Drovers, who once drove longhorn cattle across the plains. Situated within the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, Hotel Drover is a curated experience and one-of-a-kind hospitality retreat. RSM Design joined the development team to craft a unique wayfinding signage design and environmental graphics program for the luxurious Fort Worth hotel.
NOT JUST FOR COWBOYS
On the trail or in the Stockyards, drovers lived by a code that was all their own: a principle of honor, dignity and respectability. Some would say these men and women were as special a breed as the longhorn cattle in their charge, and out on the open range, they treated the land and their animals with the distinct care they deserved. The stories they brought back from months on the trail were many, and, in the case of Fort Worth, fueled not just a town but a legacy that endures to this very day. Today, Hotel Drover stands as a space to welcome both travellers near and far. The team at RSM Design carefully integrated principles of the brand story and history of the project into the experiential graphic design around the site. Iconic cowboy characters, neon signage, warm metals and rich textures create a wholesome branded environment.

Since Hotel Drover’s opening, the project has been recognized for its unique design and sensitively handled historic preservation. RSM Design was honored to collaborate with the team in crafting the architectural graphics and signage, inspired by the historic character of the area yet weaving in modern sensibilities of contemporary placemaking.
